A member asked:

What procedure is followed to measure the length of the eyeball/eye?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A scans: Most commonly this is done using an ultrasound device called an a-scan. Your eye can also be measured using a laser beam using an instrument called an iol master. Both are office procedures usually done by an ophthalmologist in preparation for cataract surgery.
