I'm on day 8 after my tonsillectomy. i have a very sharp pain in the back of my throat whenever i swallow. is this the scabs? how can i help this?

Need follow up: If you are still having sharp pain 8 days after the surgery, it may still be okay, however a follow up to check for infection or complications of surgery is needed.

Tosillectomy pain: Eat lots of icecream and popsicles and suck on ice chips to relieve pain. Gargling with peroxide may also be helpful.
