Usually not: The scar depends on the technique used to remove the mole. If the mole is cut out and the resulting wound stitched closed, a linear scar usually results, hopefully along the "grain" of the skin or in or along a crease. If the mole is "shaved" off or burned off, a circular pale area could result, with the circle being much smaller than the mole.
