Missed periods: Missed periods can be caused by hormone issues, such as thyroid or prolactin abnormalities. They can also be caused by stress, by gaining or losing weight, by eating too much soy, or being overweight or underweight. I recommend my patients come in to get checked if they miss 2 or 3 periods and are not pregnant.
