I have pain and inflammation at the base of my 5th metatarsal on my right leg. is it an injury to the peroneous tendon? it hurts to walk.

Could be: Peroneous brevis tendon attaches there and helps evert/pull foot outwards. You can also suffer from a bursitis (fluid sac) over the base where the bone protrudes. Stress reactions or fractures of the base of the 5t metatarsal also will gin=ve you pain there. See a doc get examined x-ray +- mri.
