Folliculitis: This is folliculitis. You can try a antibacterial cleanser but usually prescription medication is needed. Make sure you avoid oil on the scalp as this can contribute to the condition.

I think it best to: be sure of the cause. These lesions need to be visualized & a history needs to be obtained in order to make an accurate diagnosis. Sometimes lab testing or biopsy is necessary.
