Yes, pain: Pain is the most common symptom, and usually it is acute and so noticeable that men often know the exact minute when it began. It may also cause nausea and vomiting. Initially the pain is quite severe. Early intervention is critical for testicular salvage, so if you experience this be checked as soon as possible.

Testis torsion: A twist of the spermatic cord which suspends the testis and contains the blood supply and nerves to testicles. It causes severe pain and if the twisting is not reduced within a few hours the testicle can actually die. An ultrasound exam of the testis with doppler flow documents intact blood flow.
