Ulcer: As said there are no real symptoms , but you may have poor circulation , insensate feet etc that will predispose you to ulcer formation. An ulcer is a hole in the skin sometimes very deep and very easily infected. See your podiatrist asap if you have one !

Patients with diabetes are particularly susceptible to foot ulcers primarily because of neuropathy, vascular insufficiency, and due to a diminished healing ability. Patients with diabetes lose the protective sensations for temperature and pain. Impairing awareness of trauma such as abrasions, friction, and blistering, can lead to ulceration.
