ADHD: Symptoms of adhd include difficulty staying focused and paying attention, difficulty controlling behavior (impulsiveness), and hyperactivity (over-activity). They will have difficulty organizing themselves and staying on task. It's one of the most common problems in childhood, but can also be present in adults. Clarification: From the research out there the "hallmark" issue of ADHD is self-regulation and in particular the ability to inhibit responses. These issues pervade the symptoms so clearly described by other Drs. ADHD individuals have difficulty stopping themselves once started down a path, they are generally impulsive, quick to act before thinking. Hope that helps.
