Not usually ominous : While these symptoms are not a call for a major concern, they do merit further investigation. You should try to speak with a neurologist and get the complete work-up. Some things to consider include the mode of onset, other associated symptoms, any change/new meds, and family history. Neuropathy: Numbness, tingling, burning are all symptoms consistent with a nerve. Most likely there is a metabolic etiology to your symptoms since both hands and feet are affected. Consider seeing your local internist and begin with bloodwork. This could be caused by a neck issue but in the absence of neck problems. This is likely excluded.
