Stop lifting: First step would be to simply stop lifting weights for a few days to allow the soreness to resolve. Keep in mind that if you are lifting regularly, a little soreness is normal and it would be ok to continue lifting. However, if the soreness is persistent or worsening, you may want to see a physician for evaluation.
