Information on the natural timeline for an older person with parkinson's?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sequences : Initially, tremors at rest, mild slowing of function, or minimal walking problems present, and these sxs will respond to Dopamine agonists for about 2 yrs. For the next 5-7 yrs, pts do well on l-dopa, but later on, combination therapies are vital and even deep brain stimulation may be used. These phases proceed over 10-15 yrs, but do vary from pt to pt.
