Hello docs, is hemorrhoid surgery worth the pain and risks?

If all other: Forms of therapy including diet and fluid education, topical agents, rubber banding, etc have failed and the patient is compliant, hemorrhoid surgery performed by a colon and rectal surgeon is definitely a life saver for those patients who really need it. But all other avenues of treatment should be explored before proceeding with surgery.
