A member asked:

I take lisinopril, an ace inhibitor. are there any good alternatives?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lisinopril choices: Lisinopril is a member of the ace-inhibitor (a) class of drugs. It not only reduces blood pressure, it also reduces proteinuria. The most common adverse effect of drugs of a class is a dry cough. Another class of drugs, call angiotensin receptor blockers (arb) can do the same two things and have a much lower reported incidence of cough. Ask your physician for more advice.
