Ice, physical exam: Typically to start, rest/activity modifications, ice. If it does not improve, see a sports medicine dr to examine the shoulder to see what was injured (e.g. The rotator cuff/tendons, labrum, joint, ligaments). They may prescribe medications, physical therapy, imaging studies.
