Interested to know how does thyrotoxicosis cause heart murmurs?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

High flow: The high blood flow of the hyperthyroid heart can cause all sorts of sounds, including murmurs. These may go away simply by slowing things down with a b-blocker, or by treating the thyroid. But other conditions can coexist, so talk to your doctor about whether or not an echocardiogram should be done.
