How to help back pain from computer (it fell on me)?

Find the cause: To find a cure, you must a cause. The injuring agent was a computer but the mechanism of injury is more than that. It involves your general health, the position in which you were at the time of impact, the direction of impacting object, the speed of impact. You need a physical exam.

Ice/Heat: Try simple measures first: try ice or moist heat, over the counter meds such as acetominophen or anti-inflammatories, and avoid bedrest greater than 24 hours. If there is any bruising on the skin, or the pain continues/worsens, seek out medical evaluation.
