Not best test: Cat may miss many cases of ms, but if lesions large enough and brain atrophy present, likely can give a clue to presence, but MRI is far more precise and accurate.

Yes, but...: ...only a really fierce case, and even then, you wouldn't really be sure based on just a CT scan. MS diagnosis can be challenging; even more so back in the days before cross-sectional imaging. Since its introduction a little more than 30 years ago, MRI has transformed the MS diagnostic process.

It depends: It depends on what part you are examining. A brain ct scan scan show tumors or bleeding, while an abdominal ct scan can show infections such as diverticulitis or obstructions such as small bowel volvulus.

CT AVM: Assuming avm in brain, unenhanced ct may suggest, but may not be diagnostic or negative if small, if no bleed, and depending on type of vascular malformation. Contrast enhanced ct, ct angiography, MRI with contrast and mra better than unenhanced ct and more sensitive and specific. Sometime cerebral arteriogram needed.

A cat scan showed a thickening of my pericardial sac. Im supposed to take the report to my dr. What could that be?

See below: Could be a little bit of fluid (which can be normal) or could be sign of something called constrictive pericarditis. There are other more rare things and kind of depends on degree of thickening.
