Not best test: Cat may miss many cases of ms, but if lesions large enough and brain atrophy present, likely can give a clue to presence, but MRI is far more precise and accurate.

Yes, but...: ...only a really fierce case, and even then, you wouldn't really be sure based on just a CT scan. MS diagnosis can be challenging; even more so back in the days before cross-sectional imaging. Since its introduction a little more than 30 years ago, MRI has transformed the MS diagnostic process.
