Research use only: Mdma has been http://tinyurl.com/l9kbdy9 and is being used in for research with psychotherapy -- currently in ptsd. http://tinyurl.com/mmnqo9m some criticize the more recent studies for poor methodology, etc. Mdma is currently a dea schedule 1 drug, deemed to have no medical uses and a high potential for abuse. There have been hearings about changing this to schedule 3, for psychotherapy use.
