Should i be concerned if my husband has stage four non-small cell lung cancer do you know any alternative treatments?

Very serious: Long-term survival is very unlikely if the diagnosis is correct, but he may get a good result with today's platinum-based chemotherapy. Be concerned: Stage 4 lung cancer has an overall poor prognosis. The therapy associated with any positive effects would be chemotherapy and/or radiation. While a cure can occur, it is a rare event with stage 4. Alternative therapies can be explored, but realize that most don't claim to cure. If you look at the advertizements closely, they will treat but never claim to cure. Standard therapy- 15% overall cure.
