Be concerned: Both diseases can affect your grandson's vision, and both can cause blindness. Coats disease has many treatments, but the effectiveness varies. Retinoblastoma is a serious cancer, and requires chemotherapy and radiation treatment and sometimes surgery, including removing the eye. I am referring your question to an ophthalmologist for more info.
