Red eye: You should be concerned. How did it start? If there was no incident trauma or chance you got something caustic in the eye, then if the vision is fairly stable, and if you're not in pain it is less likely an immediate concern. If you have a uri, or if 'pink eye'/conjunctivitis is going around: don't rub eyes, wash the margins/lashes with dilute baby shampoo solution, keep hands clean, sched appt.
