What is a treatment for people who may have inherited the disease from a parent?

Depends on disease: There is no one right answer. It all depends on the disease. If one has inherited the condition from a parent, depending on their condition, they may be more severely affected than parent, or more mildly. Treatment depends on the condition and how severe one's symptoms are. There is no gene therapy yet.
