This needs attention: Any puncture wound needs to be evaluated. Tetanus is one concern and needs to be addressed with a tetanus inoculation / booster. An x-ray should be performed to see if a piece of the item that caused the puncture is present, or if any other material was pushed into the wound. Infection is also another serious consequence that could arise.
