Can you tell me how has nuclear technology aided the treatment of cancer?

Some ways: Implants of radio-isotopes have been used for unresectable prostate and pancreatic cancer. Bexxar (tositumomab) was an effective radioisotope-tagged antibody used to treat lymphomas but it was not widely used because patients had to travel to special facilities. Radioactive iodine is very helpful for some forms of thyroid cancer. You'll also want to read up on the isotopes for diagnostic use.
