Can you tell me how to get rid of abdominal swelling after surgery?

Time: Presuming you are referring to an abdominal operation, i commonly hear from patients that their abdomen is swollen for weeks after the operation despite the fact that they don't look swollen to me. The patient however is a much better judge about their abdominal girth than me. What I do know is that it is common, and resolves without treatment. Severe cases may require more investigation however.
