A member asked:

I quit eating dairy and am no longer getting indigestion and bloating. so was that the cause?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Dairy intolerance: Dairy intolerance may reflect problems with any component of milk--lactose, multiple milk proteins, calcium (stimulates gastrin-associated acid output), fat (delays stomach emptying). Alternatively, may have an intrinsic delay in stomach emptying, problems with biliary &/or pancreatic disease, small bowel pathology with resulting malabsorption, bacterial overgrowth, more. Retry milk in small dose.
