A member asked:

I have recently been diagnosed with intussusception and was wondering what is this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

In an adult,: Intestinal intussusception is almost always caused by some pathologic process as a lead point. This is a condition where a portion of the intestine gets invaginated into a distal portion, much like your sweater sleeve. Confer with your GI specialist on how to solve this problem.
