Unclear: I'm not clear what you're asking? If carotid stenosis is suspected, the neck is auscultated for bruits. The pt is queried for neurologic deficit and, if appropriate, a neurologic exam is done. Duplex ultrasound exam of the neck is done. If necessary, a ct, mra, or angiogram may be necessary in selected cases.
