A member asked:

Is it possible that any health risks arise from absence of sexual desire / activity?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on cause: If by choice eg self-imposed celibacy, then the main risk could on occasion be an enlarged prostate, but if from lack of testosterone, then you should also be checked for physical causes of that including sleep apnea at your age. If testosterone is low, this can lead to loss of muscle mass, possible osteoporosis, lack of motivational drive, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, enlargement of breastsand hot flashes.Best wishes for a merry christmas today and a happy and healthy new year.
