Neither: I don't recommend witch hazel as many people will develop a contact dermatitis to witch hazel. Prep h has nothing that has ever been shown tro treat hemorrhoids other than as a lubricant. If a patient tells me prep h helps, i know they do not have significant hemorrhoidal problems.

Either: Both have been successful at treating hemorrhoids. The witch hazel liquid would have to be put on cotton balls or pads to apply. It is also available already on applicator pads or wipes.
