A member asked:

What is callositiy or corn & what are treatments?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Thickened skin and..: Calluses are basically thickened skin resulting from repeated/persistent friction/pressure, such as those using hands for work--carpentry, masonry, constructions etc... Similar can happen on feet from poorly fitted shoes, or walking barefooted. Shaving off = immediate treatment, but avoidance pressure/friction will slowly resolve the calluses. Consult doc if you have much trouble. Good luck.
