Growth cntrs close: Menses starts the clock on final growth as the hormones that support menses signal the growth centers to begin closing. A girl will grow another 2.5 inches (5cm)after first menses on average. If the growth centers remain open longer there is more potential for growth. Well balanced nutrition, proper rest and exercise are the bast way to support growth.
