How can i lighten a hypertrophic scar on my knee?

Hypertrophic scar: Hypertrophic scars are distinguished from keloids in that the associated scar tissue doesn't extend beyond the margins of the wound. Treatment options are similar for both, some of which include intralesional corticosteroid injections, surgical excision, cryotherapy, and others. These lesions have a high rate of recurrence, though. Your doctor can discuss options with you, if you choose to treat.
