Yes, for dry skin: Untreated hypothyroidism can certainly cause dry skin, but it would be unlikely to cause bruising or scabs. I see that you are on advil, (ibuprofen) this can contribute to bruising. Considering your family history, it would be reasonable to get a free T4 and TSH level done to look at your thyroid function.
