Usually very safe: Blepharoplasty is performed under local anesthesia so in an office based surgical facility it can be performed very safely as long as the surgeon is capable and has screened patients properly. I have performed over 10000 blepharoplasties in office setting and local anesthesia without encountering a single problem.

Find a safe facility: A board certified physician, with the appropriate facial plastic surgery training and a well equipped and staffed minor procedure room can safely perform eyelid surgery. This can reduce the costs associated with a surgery center. Just do your homework on the facility first to ensure it is accredited and that proper safety and sterility precautions are followed.
