Any disease can be -: In remission, where the problem is in relatively quiescent stage. An example is bonfire (acute condition) verses smoldering fire (in remission). Its still there and can get reactivated (into an acute, more symptomatic phase easily) if conditions are right for it. Medications can help as well as your rheumatologist can advise you properly.
