A member asked:

I had a colonoscopy and it said findings terminal ileum two small areas of shallow ulceration not otherwise normal just wanted. to know what that?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly nothing: We sometimes see these. They may be nonspecific and related to preparation artifact. They may also be related to medications you may be taking such as nonsteroidal medications (ibuprofen, naproxen, advil). Inflammatory bowel disease is also a consideration but is less likely based on your description. Make sure to followup with your doctor who did the procedure.
