Family Medicine: Yes, of course. Hypothyroidism is the most common medical problem. Your family physician can manage this for you easily.

If uncomplicated: Family physicians deal with that all the time and do quite a good job. It is always your prerogative to see an endocrinologist. Feel assured that if the family physician identifies a complex problem then he/she will always refer to the specialist.
