Time of test: The best time of the day to collect a sample for any baseline hormone analysis for diagnosis is in the early morning (except for 24 hour urine analysis) before breakfast.

Morning: Testosterone is circadian and is higher in the am, in men. In women, testosterone comes from a variety of sources. If you are checking t to diagnose pcos, it probably would not matter what time it is taken.
