A medium firm mattre: Most back pain sufferers feel better with a medium firm mattress, but some may prefer firm mattress. Medium firm mattress will cradle your body while supporting it at the same time. So it is neither soft nor hard.

Good ?: I have had a bad back ; put up with an l5-s1 disk ; leg pain 4 about 7 years . Had a lami in 1982 ; have had no trouble since. During my horrible 7 years i found a firm mattress best. However after performing about 500+ laminectomy's i found every patient was different in their choice of mattresses, some even preferred water beds. B 4 u spend $ try one out. Many places allow u 2 use 4 a while @hom.
