Yes: Dupytren's disease is an inherited disease that effects the longitudinal palmar fascia, and other fascial structures of the fingers. This causes the fascial chords or bands to contract, pulling the fingers into the hand. Its progression would be unaffected by weight lifting or similar activities so you can resume lifting activities without concern.
