Please explain what are the chances of getting cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

About 2/3: In your lifetime, you have about a 1/3 chance of dying of cancer (see: http://www.Cancerresearchuk.Org/cancer-info/cancerstats/mortality/all-cancers-combined/#cancer4). The chance that you will have a cancer at some point in your life is about twice that, since most cancers are curable. It is likely that your cancer will be something easily cured like an early skin cancer.
