Reversal Agent: There are really 2 ways you and your dentist, can control to quicken the length of action of local anesthesia. The first is under your control and that is overall metabolism. If you increase your metabolic rate, the Lidocaine will wear off faster. The second, requires a second injection of a reversal agent called "oraverse". There are others also used, but this is the most popular, currently.
