Pretty similar: You may have a little more swelling, but this depends on the degree of difficulty of the tooth and who is removing it. It also depends on how many wisdom teeth are being removed.

Not many: As far as healing goes if you follow all of the pre and post operative instructions. My patients have little if any swelling or post operative pain and I do 99% of them under local only. Most have them removed on a thurs and are back in the world on monday. If your case is more complex with the nerve being involved other issue may arise however if it is straight forward the above applies.
