It seems to be: Diagnosed more often today than say 10 years ago. This can happen when a diagnosis gets a lot of attention in the news. This is a good thing since many people who had adhd in the past grew up thinking they were lazy, stupid or had behavioral problems. Not knowing what caused their problems led to low self esteem and poor school and work performance. Today they can be helped with therapy and meds.
