What are the wipes that opticians recommend for cleaning eyes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lid cleaners: Not a good idea to be wiping your eyeballs. There are commercial products for blepharitis and lid debris that come in individual sterile wrappers (like wipes for the hands after a meal) which can gently help the lids. If your eyeballs need cleaning, try lubricating eyedrops and warm soaks with washcloths. For a persistent problem needing continuous cleaning, then have your eyedoc see it.
