Work w/psychiatrist: Bipolar disorder can be challenging, but a good psychiatrist can treat you effectively with medications and supportive therapy. You will need to take medications as prescribed, and follow up regularly. You'll also need to avoid alcohol and other substance abuse, and maintain a consistent sleep and wake schedule. Healthy eating and exercise patterns will support your recovery also.
