Ankle arthroscopy recovery, will it be long and painful?

Not necessarily: It depends on what is being done with the arthroscopic procedure. It may be a long recovery if it is a fusion or ligament reconstruction, for example. But, it may be relatively a short recovery with a joint clean out. Ask your surgeon that question and they will guide you. Good luck!

Not necessarily: Some cases are longer than others, but many recover within 5-8 weeks to be able to weight bear fully.
