No definite cure: Most lymphedema does not have cure. Supportive therapy with compression stockings or use of compression pump at night are some measures. Lymphedema can be congenital and primary vs secondary acquiring it from trauma, infection, or radiation therapy. Some congenital lymphedema presents in preadolescents and adolescents due to hypoplastic lymphatics. More severe edema aplastic lymphatics.
